The Radklassiker passes through the Taunus – a region particularly affected by climate change. With our reforestation initiative, we are sending a clear message: for every kilometer of the elite race route, one tree is planted.

Participants of the ADAC Velotour can actively contribute by donating additional trees. In this way, climate-resilient mixed forests are created with native species such as wild service tree, wild cherry, and sweet chestnut. Since 2023, trees have been planted both for every kilometer of the elite race and through participant donations for the “Herzenswald” – a strong signal for the future of our forests.

VGF – Everyone Rides – Inclusion Race

The German Classic is lived diversity – also on the course itself. With the VGF – Everyone Rides – Inclusion Race, we send a clear signal for participation and community in sport: in 2025, for the tenth time, students with and without disabilities crossed the finish line together in front of the Alte Oper.

The race takes place on the same course where, shortly afterwards, the professionals sprint for victory. Tandem teams, educational support, and the cheers of the spectators make this race a special experience for everyone involved. The Inclusion Race is part of the SSC – and demonstrates how low-threshold formats can make sport accessible to all. A powerful example of true participation on equal terms.

VGF – Everyone Rides – Handbike Race

Performance counts on three wheels too: at the VGF – Everyone Rides – Handbike Race, athletes with physical impairments showcase every year what sporting excellence truly means.

As an integral part of the ADAC Velotour, the handcyclists set off together with thousands of participants on the 40-kilometer Skyline loop through Frankfurt. Right in the middle of the large peloton, they impressively demonstrate how inclusion is lived in grassroots sport.

The Handbike Race challenges, unites, and inspires – and stands as a powerful example of the diversity of sport within the Sustainable Sports Collective.

Eintracht Frankfurt Welthungerhilfe Racing Team

Cycling together – helping together: the Eintracht Frankfurt Welthungerhilfe Racing Team shows how sporting commitment and social responsibility can go hand in hand.

As part of the ADAC Velotour, cyclists take part in this charity team in support of Welthungerhilfe. Each participant contributes to the global fight against hunger with a minimum donation of €15 – and the event adds another €15 on top. This way, every kilometer ridden becomes a symbol of solidarity.

Whether ambitious or relaxed: the team brings together different performance levels and stands as a strong example of how the Sustainable Sports Collective creates impact far beyond the region.

Nachwuchs Euro

Top-level sport starts early – and requires targeted support. With the Nachwuchs Euro, Eschborn-Frankfurt, together with the Sportstiftung Hessen, is committed to fostering the talents of tomorrow.

When registering for the ADAC Velotour, participants can voluntarily donate an extra euro. It may sound small – but it makes a big difference: the Nachwuchs Euro enables young athletes from Hesse to join training camps, helps cover boarding school or travel costs, and supports scholarships that balance competitive sport with education.

In this way, one euro becomes a springboard – with the Sustainable Sports Collective creating opportunities far beyond the finish line.
