More Space for the ADAC Velotour with a New Event Area

From 2026 onwards, the ADAC Velotour will feature a new start and finish area. The entire event venue will move to the eastern part of Eschborn, where a more expansive space opens up new possibilities. Additional room for the start line, the finish area and a clearer course layout will significantly enhance the overall experience for participants. The start will take place with a view of the Frankfurt skyline and with noticeably more space during the pre-race phase. The event area will also move closer again to the start of the pro race.

The finish area will also present itself in a much more open way. The final metres of the course will be widened and feature a slight incline, creating a calmer, safer and more consciously experienced finale. Together with the expanded post-finish area, this creates an environment that makes arriving more structured while offering more space for meeting, relaxing and celebrating together.

Participants will also benefit from an extended start window. The additional time will ease the starting procedure and subsequently provide greater safety out on the course.

With the redesign of the start and finish areas, the ADAC Velotour continues to evolve its overall profile. “It is important to us to further develop the ADAC Velotour in the areas that shape the atmosphere most strongly,” says Nathanael Bank, Head of Eschborn-Frankfurt. “More space, more clarity and an environment that helps make 1 May an even more memorable highlight for all participants. The ADAC Velotour thrives on the shared experience – and that is exactly what we are creating optimal conditions for.”

These updates come in response to steadily increasing demand. For years, the ADAC Velotour has been among the most popular amateur cycling events in Germany; the new event area meets this growing interest while offering an improved experience for all participants.
