UCI WorldTour Race 2018
The 57th edition of Eschborn-Frankfurt contains more difficulties than before, spread over 212 kilometers and more than 3,500 meters in elevation. The Taunus loop and a more demanding finale in Frankfurt provide even greater challenges. Some of the legendary climbs from the history of the race will make a comeback: the hill in Ruppertshain (1.3km, ø6.7%) has to be climbed three times next year (one time in 2017), the Billtalhöhe (3.5km, max. 8.4%) is included again after seven years of absence and will be tackled two times, the finale leads via the Hainer Weg – a rising 1.5km section just 15km from the finish line. Besides these innovations, the well-known challenges like the long ascent to the Feldberg (10.8km, ø5.0%) at the end of the first race hour and the steep Mammolshainer Berg (1.0km, max 23.0%), which will be climbed four times, are on the menu of Eschborn-Frankfurt. The departure time is at 12.00pm, the expected arrival time in Frankfurt is 5.15pm.
